04 — the paradox
The most connected generation in history is the loneliest.
We are the country of the παρέα, the καφενείο, the πλατεία. We see friends and family every day, more than almost anyone else in Europe. And yet we sit near the top of the EU loneliness table. Connection didn't disappear, it just stopped translating into belonging.

Someone always offers belonging.
When no one nearby is building community, the people who do are rarely the ones you would choose.
Isolation is the raw material of radicalisation. Recruitment almost never arrives as an ideology; it arrives as an invitation. A group chat. A football team. Somewhere to be on a Friday night. People who feel unseen say yes to whoever sees them first. The antidote is not an argument — it is a better invitation, offered sooner.
